Xiaomi Executives Discuss Cautious Approach to European EV Market Entry

During a live broadcast from Xiaomi’s Turpan summer testing base, Chairman and CEO Lei Jun, alongside Group President Lu Weibing and Vice President Wang Xiaoyan, shared insights into Xiaomi’s automotive ambitions.
Lu Weibing highlighted that Europe has been slower than China in transitioning to new energy vehicles (NEVs). He emphasized that Xiaomi approaches the automotive market with a sense of respect and caution, acknowledging the complexities of the industry. Lu mentioned that Xiaomi is carefully studying the optimal timing for the company’s entry into the European market.
